We’re excited to share that Mission Ministries Alliance has secured a new location for our thrift store!
Work is already underway to prepare the space, and we can’t wait to open our doors soon.

This move is more than just a change in location—it’s a renewal of purpose. The new site honors the heart of our original store while enhancing accessibility and visibility in a more strategic area. Our mission remains unchanged: to serve those experiencing homelessness and poverty in McDowell County.

This new thrift store will continue the legacy of our original store and further our mission in the following ways:

• Providing affordable clothing and household goods to the community

• Supplying essential items to community through our voucher program

• Offering vouchers for individuals experiencing homelessness and those moving into permanent housing from our shelters

• Offering workforce training and volunteer opportunities

• Generating vital revenue to support shelter and outreach programs

Thrifting With A Purpose will accept donations during store hours: Tuesday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Donations of gently used clothing, household items, and furniture are welcome and essential to impacting the lives of those struggling with homelessness and hardship. At Thrifting With A Purpose, every donation directly supports programs and services for our most vulnerable neighbors. By giving what you no longer need, you are helping to provide critical resources to families and individuals.
