A Mother’s Journey Home

Meet Cordelia and her children. During her time at the Friendship Home, Cordelia was reunited with her children and welcomed her youngest baby into the world.

While in our care, Cordelia faced an especially difficult challenge when her newborn was diagnosed with a serious heart condition requiring surgery. Through it all, our staff walked closely alongside her, helping her navigate complex medical decisions and access the care her baby needed. Before

coming to MMA, Cordelia was living in her car. Today, through our housing partnership with Vaya Health’s Back@Home program, she is now in stable housing, and her family has been fully reunited.

At Mission Ministries Alliance, we have the privilege of serving children and families during some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives. We believe every child deserves safety, stability, and the opportunity to grow in a nurturing environment.

Navigating healthcare, especially during a crisis, can be overwhelming for families experiencing homelessness. That’s why our team walks alongside each family, providing support, advocacy, and care every step of the way.

Our case managers are often the unseen heroes, standing in the gap for both mothers and their children as they work toward healing and stability. Cordelia’s

story is one of resilience, hope, and the power of community.
